The Perfect Stay-cation + Photo Diary

Perfect Stay-cation in Tagaytay, Philippines

The rain never seems to stop. With this gloomy weather, traveling and adventure-seeking trips are probably put on hold, but who says stay-cation can't be fun, too?

A few weeks ago, we went on a spontaneous trip outside the city, headed over to Tagaytay and booked an entire house to ourselves for the weekend. Basically, the plan was to just rest and unwind, and luckily, we found the perfect spot (and probably my dream house).

The White Airy House, owned by Air, is a rest house hidden in a farm lot in Silang, Cavite. The place is a 3-km drive off the main road (which seemed quite a bit longer because we were not familiar with the place + there seems to be an endless plantation of pineapples, haha!). We were actually worried that we might be getting lost because we had no idea where we're heading. The caretaker told us to follow the signs going to Victoria Farms and look for an orange flag.

After about 30 minutes of slowly finding ourselves in the right direction, we finally found the place...

The whole trip was definitely worth it. The house is breathtakingly beautiful even from the outside, and I had to take lots of pictures so I could show them to my future architect and interior designer. It was very spacious, cozy and airy... perfect with the Tagaytay ambiance and climate.

It has two floors (three, if you'll include the garage underneath the house), a balcony, three bathrooms and three bedrooms that could accommodate up to 8 persons comfortably (so that'd be up to 12 if you're willing to squeeze in a few more friends). Extra bedding sets are also available upon request.

There are also a few board games available in the living room.

And that's it for my photo dump of our short stay-cation. If you're planning yours, this house can be booked thru AirBnB for about 5,300 to 8,000+ (including taxes), depending on the number of guests. But here's a pro-tip: you could directly contact the owner of the house thru 0906-589-0422 to save a few bucks. ;-)

Any other stay-cation ideas you'd like to share?

  1. Are they selling the house or it's just up for rent? Ugh, big windows are so lovely <3

    1. Sadly, I don't think they're selling the house anytime soon. :-( Yes, it really is beautiful. Suits well with the location itself and I just can't stop taking pictures for future reference. Haha!

    1. Actually, no. A friend recommended this place and gave us the contact number of the owner so we didn't have to book the place thru airbnb. We were able to save around 3-4k, I think. Haha! Yes, the weather is perfect! Goes well with the ambiance of the house. ;-)

    1. For the entire house, yes it's really cheap na! And it even came cheaper because we booked directly through the owner. #lifehack Haha! The 2-hr travel from Manila is very worth it. :)
