‘Tis the Season to be SEPHORA Glammin’

December 3, 2016

'Tis the season to be SEPHORA glammin'I'm no beauty expert. To be honest, my make-up routine is very plain and simple: a brow definer, a good nude lipstick and that's it. No one would even notice anyway since it has always a work-home cycle for months now. And I don't mind.

But the Christmas season is fast-approaching, and that comes along with a lot of events and parties. As for someone who wants to build a good blogging image in her niche, it wouldn't be the worst idea to glam it up and start immersing myself to be more outgoing. Besides, I've been wanting to improve my make-up skills for quite sometime now. (And yes, I never knew make up hoarding + binge-watching tutorials would be sooooo addicting!!!)

Earlier this year, a French chain of cosmetics stores called Sephora was launched here in the Philippines. With more than 300 brands and products featuring makeup, skincare, body, fragrance, nail color, and haircare, Sephora truly became a game-changer for all the makeup junkies out there.

And for the holidays, I'm sticking with the neutral/nude shades with rose gold undertones for a simple yet sophisticated look.

To achieve this glam look, I selected a few products available from Sephora Philippines:

Creating the base

Primer, concealer & foundation

Introducing the latest discovery of the make-up noob in me: the wonders of creating a perfect base for the make-up! With my combination skin type, it has always been a struggle for me to come up with a not-too-oily T-zone and a not-too-cakey U-zone. So a good primer, concealer and foundation would come in handy for a smooth-looking face and a long-lasting make up.

For the face

Contour, highlight & blush ons

Zero skills when it comes to contours and highlights, but I believe this isn't exactly rocket science, so investing on good brands and products could come a long way while I'm practicing. And who wouldn't be motivated to be a make-up pro when you've got these?

For the eyes

Eye shadow, Eyeliner, Brow definer & Mascara

Now, to achieve the nude/rose gold look, I chose an eyeshadow palette in nude-based colors. I guess we could all agree that eye make up either makes or breaks the entire look, so it's important to complement your eyes with the perfect mascara and finish it off with a fully-arched brows.

For the lips

Lip balm, Satin lipstick & Lip liner

Sephora Collection Super Nourishing Lip BalmCiaté London Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Satin Kiss Lipstick and Sephora Collection Universal Lip Liner

And lastly, my favorite part in every make-up routine: the classic lipstick which never goes out of style (no matter what trend comes in)! So to finish off this holiday look, a good moisturizing balm, a perfect nude shade of lipstick and lip liner are definitely on the list of must-haves.
