How To Really Know Someone, Vol. 5

June 5, 2017

Hi, and welcome to another episode of me oversharing a bit more about my personal life!

How to Really Know Someone questions tag is an on-going blog series wherein participants/bloggers will answer a certain number of questions per episode/post. Get to know me better as I answer 100+ interesting q's from the set and feel free to share your answers, too, on the comments section below (or perhaps join the tag if you feel like it). 😉 You can check out the rest of my answers to the previous questions here. Anyway, here we go:

26. How thin/fat, small/large, tall/short are you compared to your peers?
I have a petite physique, and relatively quite smaller than most of my friends. I am 21 y/o, standing 4'11 (but I usually claim to be 5ft just because), and weigh around 95 lbs.

27. If you were a book, what would it be?
I'm not sure if I understood this question correctly, but let's assume that I have to select a particular genre or plot(?) that I wanna be(?). I guess I'm more of a Keri-Smith-type-of-book (not sure if that even belongs to a certain genre). Something useful, not dragging, does not have an actual plot, but you'd open from time to time because it reminded you of something you saw on the street, a random thought, or a sudden urge to doodle something.

28. Have you ever seen a dead person before? How did you feel about it?
(Again, I'm not sure if this is pertaining about dead, as in funerals, or dead like a ghost or apparition. Let's assume it's the former.) So, yes. I don't feel 100% comfortable seeing a dead person's body, knowing that they were once full of life and breathing just like me. But of course, I would still want to give my last respects, so I'd set that aside first.

29. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Never trying! I'm the type of person who doesn't want to live in a world full of what ifs and what could have beens. So yep, I'd rather fail than to not know at all.

30. Have you ever taken care of a sick person?
Fortunately, no, I haven't.

31. Who are the people who have influenced you?
My parents, mostly. As I was growing up, I witnessed how persevering they were in order for us to live a comfortable life. They started from nothing, then worked their way up to where we are now. They sent us to good schools, took us to different places in and out of the country, provided everything in order to support our needs. They've set the bar high and made us dream and aim for our own future.

32. Which of the four cardinal virtues do you embody the most?
(I had to Google this... again. HAHA.) So, the four cardinal virtues are: justice, prudence, temperance, and fortitude. I'm not the wisest person, not the most righteous either, and definitely not patient! I guess the virtue that resonates with me most is fortitude/courage, since it's the ability to confront fear or uncertainty. As you can see from question # 29, I made it pretty clear that I'd rather live a life of oh wells than what ifs, so curiosity and FOMO most probably sparked up that courage. Lol.
