Let's Be Mermaids Under the Sea

September 7, 2017

Because we just can't get enough of the cuteness, here's another mythical creature which found its way to the streets of Maginhawa, Quezon City. All mermaids (and mermen) assemble because your lair has been found Under the Sea!

The first mermaid-themed cafe in the Philippines

And so far, here's a list of things that you need to know about the place:

Under The Sea Cafe is the first-ever mermaid-themed cafe restaurant in the Philippines. It is located at the 3f of 80 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City, also home to the unicorns of Rainbow Dreams Cafe. (Trivia: They're under the same management. So make sure to hit two birds, or should I say, unicorns and mermaids, in one stone.)

Based on the name itself, the cafe restaurant mainly highlights its under the sea theme. Which means the entire place literally looks like you're underwater. From shipwrecks and Ariel's grotto to a three-dimensional boat placed on the ceiling, you'll literally feel like you're a few feet underneath.

Under the Sea Cafe

Under the Sea started operations last August 25, 2017 and they are open daily from 12nn to 10pm. Since it's just recently opened to the crowd, it's relatively easy to score a table especially during weekdays.

Aside from the ambiance, you can also play with their mermaid plushies and these classic 90s kids toys while waiting for your order.

Don't be fooled by their colorful facade and ambiance because their menu is totally worth the hype. It's not just limited to desserts. They have a variety of rice meals, pastas, snacks and drinks, too! Which I swear tastes as good as it looks. Time to prepare your dingle-hoppers and thingamabobs  for these mermaid treats! 🍴

I also got to meet fellow blogger, Melissa The Mermaid, during her visit to the place and she vlogged about it, so if you want to take a quick video tour Under the Sea, watch it here.
