No, it doesn't get more personal than this. Haha! Another blog series to let me overshare a bit about myself (as if I don't share enough yet lol). But the questions are actually pretty interesting. Not your cliche and basic questions, so you'll probably get to know me a little better. Got this idea from Richel, who got it from Corinth, who found it on Tumblr. So let's start, shall we?
1.
How do you feel about
birthdays?
Of course as a kid, I
used to believe that my birthdays were very special because it’s the day of the
year I can call my own… until I realized that I’m sharing it with probably more
than thousands of people. *rolls eyes* hahaha lol, silly me. But eventually, I got over it
and it became just another this-too-shall-pass day. To be honest, I’ve been actually waiting
to be this age for, like, 20 years! I think every child, at one point, wanted to be a grown-up. Never thought that #adulting could be this
stressful but hey, it’s fun. ;-)
2.
Do you believe in
fate?
Hmmm, yes, I do believe that things
really do happen for a reason. Even if we “choose” the life we live, that
choice is also by fate, maybe? That in
the end, every puzzle piece would fit together and that it would all make
sense. As of now, I’m waiting for that day to happen. I don’t know, maybe fate
is something we all made up to justify everything. We cling to this idea that it’s
gonna be okay someday because it’s all planned out as it’s supposed to happen. But
I guess I’ll leave it that way. Fate kinda makes me feel secure.
3.
What do you think when
a band/artist “sells out”?
It’s too bad that some bands/artists
try to conform to what’s in, while distorting
their originality, identity and authenticity along the way. Sucks, but I can’t blame them either. It’s
their life, and probably, it’s their way of living so it's really up to them, I guess.
4.
What do you think of
fans and fandoms?
I’d like to believe that we’ve all been
there, that we’ve all had this phase in our lives. And I think it’s great to
experience that… to be REALLY passionate about something, like an artist or a
band maybe. After all, fans are one of the reasons behind the artist’s
validation of success, right? But I guess there’s a thin line between being passionately
in love with something and [insanely] obsessing over it and we should be careful not to
cross it.
Also, who came up with the idea that a "true" fan should know EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL about his/her idol? Ughhh, smh. Stop being so possessive, you guys. It doesn't make you more of a fan. Live and let live.
5.
Any specific personality
traits you would like to see in your life partner?
Two things: he must be patient and
understanding. Aside from me being too much to handle at times, I guess these
two traits are both very essential to every relationship. The feeling of being
in love is beautiful and overwhelming and blissful, but I can’t promise a
perfect smooth-sailing relationship. So I want someone who’s willing to get through
the good and [especially] the rough parts with me. Through thick
and thin, remember?
6.
Should parents be
their child’s friends?
Ideally. Too bad this doesn’t apply in our case, but
yes. In this day and age, it’s
important for the parent/s to get to know their child/children a bit more. Not
in an invasive kind of way—but just enough to make them feel comfortable that they can tell their parents anything.
There's actually more than a hundred questions so I'll be answering few q's at a time. You could check out the series of questions here and maybe you could answer them yourself! Just comment your answers/link of your post below so I could get to know you better too.
What's your answer to these questions?

This was so fun to read! These are some deep questions! :) I agree with you on the know-everything part of fandoms. I myself love the learning part of a fandom actually more than the knowing everything! How fun is it to discover something new each day?! :)

Hi, Monique! ♥ Yes, being a fan doesn't mean you should know everything in an instant, right? Glad you enjoyed this post! I had fun answering the questions, maybe you could join in on the fun, too! xx
DeleteI have also seen this on Corinth's and Richel's blogs :) It's good to see bloggers do this too since it's a way to know you more, and see how each person is different from another. :) Wish I could do this to, but I don't think I can handle this kind of series because most questions are hard to answer. Haha
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I like celebrating my birthday but when I reach teenage years, it turns to become sadder, I don't know, that feeling when I don't want to celebrate it anymore. But when I reach college, I went back to being excited haha recently I realized it's fun to grow up, despite of all the responsibilities and struggles. Haha.
Yes, I do believe in fate, that everything happens for a reason. But I can't just leave it all to fate. I also have to keep moving.
Agree with "patient" and "understanding" but with my boyfriend right now, who's the most impatient person I know so far, haha, I learned that I should be more patient hahaha kidding aside, I think I learned to love him for who he is, without changing him. Acceptance is the key, as they say. Hahaha
Hi, Mei! Thank you for answering. Haha. It's alright, you can answer thru comments naman.;-) Glad to know your take on this, too. Hehe. See u around!
DeleteGreat post idea to know the writer behind the blog. I'm going to check out the questions, seems interesting! :) Did you just randomly pick up the questions?
ReplyDeleteHi Melai! ;) Yes, I'm really enjoying this blog series so far! Haha. There are no rules actually. There's just this set of questions (linked above) that you could answer and I decided to answer them all chronologically just like what Corinth and Richel did. But it's up to you how many q's to answer per post.
DeleteAte Richel and Corinth's blog are so nice and they're super friendly. I've started my own series when I saw this to Superaena's. :D
ReplyDeleteHi, Kai! Don't worry, I'm friendly too! Hahaha. ;-) Actually, I don't know a lot of bloggers doing this tag because there's no directory of some sorts unlike Sidda Thornton's The Sunday Currently. Hehe. Will check out yours too.
DeleteThis is an interesting blog series… I guess I wanna try this too. Thank you for sharing Da! :)
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
