I have always admired how Koreans take good care of their skin. I mean, it's like they're always on 'beauty' filter whenever I see them on screen. They all appear to have pore-less, flawless and baby-like faces that never seem to age! Although it's no secret that their climate condition is a huge advantage, I'm sure it could still be achieved even with this humid weather with proper skincare and makeup products.

Torriden Banchic Spa Pads
Key Ingredients: charcoal powder and Peat water
Claims: removes make up wastes, dead skin cells, blackheads, absorbs sebum and restores the pH level of the skin
How to Use: Soak dead skin cells with black cotton, then remove them using the opposite side (bumpy part) of the pad. Best used twice or thrice a week after cleansing your face.
Verdict: Initially, the application felt and looked a bit messy. There were black residues all over my face. But after washing it off with lukewarm water, my face instantly felt softer and smoother!
Caolion Premium Pore White Cake Pack
Key Ingredients: niacinamide, adenosine components, sticky rice, dried orange peel, buckwheat and grain powders
Claims: tones up skin, has a cooling effect that tightens pores and removes dead skin cells for instantly smooth and bright skin
How to Use: Refrigerate the product before use to enhance its pore tightening and cooling effect. Dab the cream on your entire face using the applicator included in the box. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.
Verdict: I'm a huge fan of this product's cooling effect! It somehow creates the feeling that it's really doing something on my face. Haha! It also has a fresh, minty scent that I really love. And I guess it's best used twice to thrice a week after using the spa pads.
Etude House Fix And Fix Pore Primer
Key Ingredients: tea tree leaf oil, moringa oil, green tea seed oil
Claims: conceals huge pores and uneven skin for a long-lasting makeup and smooth skin texture performance
How to Use: Apply evenly on your face before putting on make up.
Verdict: I have a combination skin type which makes me a bit more oily on the T-zone, and the ingredients scream nothing but more oil to me. But this product proved me wrong! I've already tried Banila Co.'s Prime Primer which is a serum-type colorless matte primer, while this one is tinted and has a thicker texture that could also double as your foundation. Based on my experience, the Fix and Fix Primer has better coverage and oil control properties.
Innisfree No Sebum X Emoji Mineral Powder
Key Ingredients: Jeju natural minerals, talc, colorant, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance
Claims: has a sebum absorbing power that controls excessive oil, fits makeup and corrects dull skin tone
How to Use: In the last stage of your daily skincare routine or makeup, use powder puff to gently apply onto entire face or sebum concentrated areas.
Verdict: The packaging is super cute (and plus points because this is a limited edition)! Mine came in an angry emoji 😠which is like my default facial reaction (haha jk). Love the minty scent and the cooling sensation of this product.
Torriden Banchic Oil Control Powder Mist
Key Ingredients: NA
Claims: helps soothe pores and skin by controlling excessive sebum
How to Use: Shake well before use, and then spray on your face when needed. *Can also be used for oily hair
Verdict: Every (oily) girl's bestfriend! Whenever I feel like my face is oiling up a bit, I just spritz this across my face and it gives off an instant moisturized, feeling fresh skin! It's like I just had my face washed but without actually ruining my makeup.
Mi by K Tu Mask Pack
Key Ingredients: Jeju oxygen blanc water, seaweed complex, herb relief complex, vita water, marine phyto-chemical (salmon eggs), beta glucan extracted from mushrooms, lemon essential oil
Claims: soothes and calms skin, cares for the sensitive and oily T-zone, and for the saggy and dry U-zone
How to Use: After cleansing your face, apply toner. Open Step 1 and apply mask sheet on your T-zone. Continue with Step 2 by putting the mask on your U-zone. Leave for 20 minutes, and then massage your face with the essence.
Verdict: I love how perfect this mask is for people with a combination skin type like me with an oily T-zone and dry U-zone. And you know the struggle when the face masks don't actually fit your face especially on the nosebridge and undereyes? Well, since these mask sheets are applied separate, it's a lot easier to use!
