How To Really Know Someone Vol. 07

Ahhhh, I missed this! After being MIA for the past couple of months (while claiming I'd make a comeback), I figured I would no longer fool myself and anyone of you for that matter so no more empty promises and commitments this time. Anyway, while I'm still working on a few backlogs/sponsored posts, I'd like to welcome you first to another episode of me oversharing a bit more about my personal life.

How to Really Know Someone questions tag is an on-going blog series wherein participants/bloggers will answer a certain number of questions per episode/post. Get to know me better as I answer 100+ interesting q's from the set and feel free to share your answers, too, on the comments section below (or perhaps join the tag if you feel like it). 😉 You can check out the rest of my answers to the previous questions here.

38. If you were at a friend’s house for Thanksgiving dinner and you found a dead cockroach in the salad, what would you do?
I've had a lot of cockroach encounters when I was living in Baguio, but that did not desensitize me from the fear whenever I see one, especially if it's the flying kind! AND ON FOOD??? First of all, I hope I haven't had any of that salad just yet. And of course, I'd freak out and tell them about it. I mean, who in their right mind wouldn't? Lastly, I'd come up with a (lame) excuse to skip dinner because ya girl ain't having any of that. 🙅‍♀️

39. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Society has become so cruel that sometimes we unintentionally conform ourselves to what's "ideal" or "acceptable". And I guess, in a way, we all do. I believe you can only be your true self when you're alone... but what if the person we pretend to be becomes the "real" us in the process? Where do we draw the line? *existentialism intensifies* lol

40. Do you look like any celebrity?
I don't know how to not make this sound like I'm bragging, but two of my friends told me that I kinda look like Bela Padilla??? I can't even see the resemblance, tbh. 🤷‍♀️ But my childhood photos, according to another friend,  kinda resembles Xyriel Manabat. This, I can accept.

41. What activities do you enjoy?
Even though I'm not good at it, I really enjoy singing. I love distinguishing the different voices and instruments used. It feels like I have the ear (but definitely not the voice) of a true singer. Lol.

A few other hobbies would be playing the piano, guitar and ukulele.

42. Would you place education as a top priority?
Five years ago, the 18-year-old me would probably think so. Because that's how we're raised. You've got to have good grades to enter a well-known university, then eventually land a job that pays for your bills. But I guess my perception on success based on education somehow altered and developed as I was exposed in the reality of the world.. that each person's success doesn't clearly have to follow a specific route. The present me believes that contentment and happiness should be priority at all times.

43. If you had a Death Note, would you use it?
I know how it is to lose someone, and I can't bear the fact that I'd be the one causing that kind of pain to other people no matter how much I despise or hate them.
